Who Are We?

Who we are:

You automatically become part of the PTA when you join the school. Churchill School PTA is our registered charity (1054839) and our aim is to get you all to 'micro volunteer' to support it.

We are 3 busy, working mums who currently hold voluntary, elected roles for Churchill PTA. We are organised and friendly and we’ve got big plans.

Chair:

Karen E - Elected July 2024

I have a daughter in year 4. We are a neurodiverse family and we joined Churchill School at the very end of year 2. The main reason I chose to volunteer to support the PTA in a Core Committee role is that the School caught and supported us from the very beginning. There is a culture at our school of ‘above and beyond’ which I wanted to give something back to and show our appreciation for.

Outside of parenting and the PTA, Rob and I run our own Commercial Interior Fit-out Consultancy Business in central London which commands much of our time. We also have two, much older, children in our blended family and a 24 year old goldfish!

Vice-Chair:

Maria R - Elected July 2024

I have a daughter in Year 5 and my son recently finished his time at Churchill School. I have been supporting the PTA for over seven years during which time I have been actively involved in also running the KS2 Gardening Programme. I decided to volunteer as a Core Committee member because I am passionate about enhancing the educational experience for all students. My long-term involvement with the PTA has given me valuable insights into how we can support our children’s education, well-being as well as making life long friends.

Outside of my PTA activities, I am a self-employed Hairdresser and Cleaner. I also enjoy spending time at my allotment with my husband Stuart, where I cultivate a variety of fruits and vegetables. Gardening is a passion of mine and I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with the children.

Treasurer:

Vanessa F - Elected November 2023

I have a daughter in Year 2 and another little girl. I joined the PTA because I wanted to help support the school and make a difference in our community.

Aside from my PTA duties, I work as a Learning Support Assistant at a local secondary school. This job lets me help students with their learning and offer them the support they need to succeed. I also co-run the weekly Mothers and Toddlers group held in Westerham. I have lived in Westerham for 9 years with my partner Stuart, two girls and two Rabbits.
