This term we will be focusing on the story Goodnight Mr.Tom. This book really links with our topic, World War II.

Focus text: King Kong by Anthony Browne. 

Sycamore have recently started a new book - King Kong. Browne uses powerful verbs throughout the story with incredibly descriptive language. The children have written an alternative ending, focusing on their own use of powerful verbs and descriptive language. They have produced some fantastic work so far!

Vocabulary Wall

As a class, we have come up with a vocabulary wall with a range of ambitious words, which we challenge the children to use in speech and writing.
