Our Volunteers
At Churchill, we are hugely indebted to the parents and local people who regularly give up their time to volunteer in school. Without this army of helpers we would be unable to do so many of the things that enhance the children's education, such as regular reading with an adult, going on visits and benefiting from revamped learning areas.
How Do I Get Involved?
We are always looking for more people to help, so if you feel you have a few hours to spare and would like to support the school, do get in touch. We have a role for almost any skillset:
from sharing your career experiences to sharing a hobby,
from painting with children to painting walls,
from reading with children to weeding in our beautiful grounds,
from showing our children how to play chess to making props for a play...
there really is something for everyone!
Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of all our children is paramount and as such all volunteers in school will be subject to suitability checks such as a DBS check.
