Sample Timetable
Being away from others for a long time is going to be challenging; the security of knowing what each day will look like will help many children (and adults!) to cope. This is just an example that has been doing the rounds on the internet, so feel free to adapt to suit your family and circumstances.
Before 9am | Wake Up | Eat breakfast, make your bed, get dressed, put PJs in the laundry. |
9.00-10.00 | Morning Walk |
Family walk in the fresh air Yoga if it's raining |
10.00 - 11.00 | Academic Time | Home learning from the school website |
11.00 - 12.00 | Creative Time | Lego, other construction materials, drawing, crafting, playing music, singing, baking etc |
12.00 | Lunch | |
12.30 - 1.00 | Chore Time |
A - Wipe all kitchen table and chairs B - Wipe all door handles, light switches (safely!) and desk tops C - Wipe bathrooms - toilets, sinks and basins |
1.00 - 2.30 | Quiet Time | Reading, puzzles, nap, keep a diary to record your experience and express any feelings or worries you have |
2.30 - 4.00 | Academic Time | Home learning from the school website |
4.00 - 5.00 | Afternoon Fresh Air | Bikes, walk the Dog, play in the garden if you are lucky enough to have one. |
5.00 - 6.00 | Dinner | |
6.00 - 8.00 | Free TV Time | Kids Showers x 3 |
8.00 | Bedtime | All kids |
8.30 | Bedtime | All kids who follow the daily schedule and don't fight |
