Term 4

Living things and their habitats

This term in Science we will be building upon our learning from Years 4 and 5 as we look more closely at the classification of all living things. Our knowledge will provide a great foundation for our Science focus in the summer term on evolution and the work of Charles Darwin. 

Term 3

Light

This term we will be extending our learning from Year 3 and exploring how light travels in all its forms. 

Key vocabulary: transparent, translucent, opaque, shadow, reflect.

Term 2

Electricity

In term 2 we will be revisiting our learning from Year 4, looking at electrical circuits and their components. We will be extending our knowledge by designing circuits for a purpose and experimenting by adding different elements to achieve specific results.
