Term 4: Misty Mountain Sierra!

This term the children have been learning all about mountains and the water cycle. They have discovered the largest mountains and mountain ranges in the world. Learnt more about one of our houses, Edmund Hillary, and how he climbed Mount Everest.

As a DT project, the children have created their own clay mountain models and painted them. They have identified the different parts of the mountain including the summit and the mouth. Their models are based off the three different types of mountains, Dome, Fold and Block.

The children have really enjoyed this topic and I have loved learning about all their research and quizzes they have done for homework.
