Good morning Everyone! smiley
heart THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AND NEVER FORGET HOW SPECIAL YOU ARE   heart

Well, together we made it! What a strange experience this has been for us all. I am so very proud of you all for keeping up with your home learning each week. More than that though, I am so proud of you for coping with such a different experience, for never giving up and being so positive.

In September you will be Year 1 and 2, and I know your new teachers will be so excited to see you then. Our time together has flown by- It seems like only yesterday we were in the hall rehearsing for our Christmas Nativity (and I was either crying with laughter at some of your funny acting, or crying with pride at how wonderfully you all performed)!

On Wednesday, we break up for the summer holiday! I will post some end of term activities for you to have a look at this week, but then please make sure you have a good rest and some fun times, you deserve it and so do your parents and grown-ups! Do try to keep up with your reading over the summer, just for fun.

Thank you once again for your unfailing support and good wishes throughout lockdown. It has been a pleasure to teach all of you and get to know our R/1 families.

Be safe, be good, be happy and be yourselves.
Love from Mrs Jones heart

Week 14

Good Morning everybody, I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend smiley.  The weather looks more promising this week so I hope that everyone will enjoy some sunshine.  It's nearly the end of term now so I'm sure you're all starting to feel quite tired... Keep going and keep smiling. There's always a lot of Random Acts of Kindness going on around the world, making people happy. So this week, why not pass on that smile by making some Paper Chains of Kindness? Watch the Oak National Academy assembly on Kindness (link at the bottom of the page), presented by HRH The Duchess of Cambridge, then watch the clip to make your chains. This is an ongoing project to brighten up your home and remind everyone how important it is to be kind. Every time you do or say something kind or someone else does something kind for you, write it on a strip of paper (decorate it too if you like!) and add it to your paper chain. How far will your finished chain reach?  Have a brilliant week and, as always, please keep sending all of your messages and photos, they really do make me smile. Lots of love, Mrs Jones. heart

We know how much the children love to get stuck in to their learning at school, so we will be adding activities and tasks that will enable them to continue to learn from home and keep them busy during these rather unusual times! Please continue to click on the individual subject icons for updates. In addition to the activities/tasks set, there are a number of online resources you and your child can access. General websites can be found at the bottom of the main home learning page, and subject-specific links will be listed at the bottom of each subject page.

Everyone loves a bit of telly from time to time and we have a few recommendations of some tv shows that are fun but also educational! Alphablocks and Numberblocks on BBC iPlayer are cartoons based on phonics and numeracy problems that need solving. Numberjacks is another numeracy based cartoon which features different numbers having to solve problems!

Lastly, but possibly most importantly...

We understand that this is a challenging time for us all and want to reassure you that we are available to answer and queries or concerns you may have during this time , no matter how big or small.

We wish you all the best - Stay safe and healthy, and hopefully see you soon! :-)
