Stickability Quizzes

After each topic in Maths, we have been giving the children quizzes to check their recollection of key aspects. They are a useful tool to make sure that children are still able to use important skills, even when the maths that they are currently learning has moved on. 

We will be adding these quizzes once the children have taken them, so that you can support your child with any areas that they are not confident with.

Times Tables

In Year 3, the children are expected to have learnt their 2, 5 and 10 times tables from Year 2 and will continue on to learn their 3s, 4s and 8s with division facts.

In Year 4, the children are expected to learn all their times tables up to 12 x 12, including division facts by the end of the year.

Our Mathematical Board Games

This week, the children have enjoyed creating their own Mathematical board games, with the theme money, which is our Topic this term. They’ve had to think about the rules, questions, designing of the board, pieces, theme and colours, age of players, name of the game, the maths needed to answer the questions. 

The children have have had loads of fun doing this challenge and creating their board games.
