Science

This term we have been learning about electricity. Have you ever wondered what your life would be like without it? To finish off this unit of work, I would like you to create a short project all about 'Electricity.' You can present this any way you would like, as a PowerPoint, leaflet, poster or maybe even a model.

Things to think about:

  • What common appliances do you use in your everyday life that run on electricity?
  • Can you draw a diagram of a simple and series electrical circuit? Are you able to identify and label its basic parts, including cells, wires, bulbs, switches and buzzers?
  • Identify some common conductors and insulators of electricity and give some examples of their uses.
  • Explain how a switch works to open and close a circuit.
