This is an exciting time for The Churchill School; in 2017 Ofsted highlighted some areas where the school could improve and since that time we have appointed a new Headteacher and worked closely with the local authority to ensure that the education offered here is first class. In January this year, Ofsted and HMI revisited the school and it was regraded with a strong 'Good' grading. We are delighted with this result, as it marks a significant milestone on our journey to become an Outstanding local primary school. We are now looking to the future and creating new plans, which build on this success.
It is always a privilege to show visitors around our wonderful school. In the Autumn we usually run a series of Open Mornings to enable prospective parents the opportunity to take a tour with our eldest children, find out about the school, have a talk from the Headteacher and Head and Deputy Girls and Boys and ask any questions they may have. This year, unfortunately, we are having to do things a little differently because of Covid-19, however we are still excited to share our school with you and have been working hard behind the scenes to make this happen in a way that still helps you to get a good feel for the school.
We are delighted to be able to offer individual tours to show prospective parents around in family groups after the end of the school day. We require all attendees to wear a mask and distance from school staff whilst on the school site, however the tour does provide a chance to see the school in person and speak directly to the headteacher to find out more and ask any questions you have. If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please complete the form below, or contact Julie Plant in the school office, during school hours on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, to make an appointment. 01959 562197.
We would love to show you around our wonderful school. Please complete this form if you would like to book a tour. This year, we are having to conduct these outside the timings of the school day, and request that you wear a mask when attending in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.
