PTA

Who are we?

We are a group of volunteers who organise events to raise money for the school. We try to organise a balanced programme of events through the school year. The money we raise funds projects and purchases resources, which the school's budget can not accommodate.

How can you get involved?

There are various ways to get involved and help raise money for the school.

If you have quite a lot of time:

There are 4 trustee roles: Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary. Job descriptions are available for each of these roles on request from the current chair. The Trustees work together as a team to plan and oversee events, meeting frequently.

If you have a bit of time:

You can become a General Member. General members come along to the 3 General Meetings held during the school year to share ideas and help to plan events. They are also the first port of call when need volunteers.

Or you can become a Parent Helper.

Our list of Parent Helpers is made up of people who are happy to help when they are available. We email them all when we have an event coming up and they let us know if they can help.

If you would like to become more involved with you child's class:

You can become a Class Rep. Our Class Reps run a Facebook group or WhatsApp group keeping parents up-to-date with Class news, whole school events and PTA events. Class Teachers will liase with their Rep when they have important messages for the class, when they need volunteers to help with class trips and can feedback to the PTA via their Rep if they need resources for their classroom.

If you have very little time:

We realise that a lot of parents have very busy lives and whilst they want to support the PTA they have little time available. There are plenty of other ways to support the school just by coming along to our events and sharing information with friends, family and local businesses.
