Welcome back to school! We have had a lovely start to the Spring Term. The children have come back well rested and are working very hard. They have impressed me with how mature they are and how excellent their attitude towards their own learning is.
This term in Birch Class our Geography topic is Westerham. The children are looking forward to learning more about their town and using their new skills to explore. In History we will be looking closely at General James Wolfe and learning about his life and the Battle of Quebec.
In Science the children will be exploring the topics Humans including Animals. They will be finding out about the health of their teeth and how the digestive system works. We will also be looking into food chains. And, as usual, will be continuing to learn about a range of different genres and concepts in English and Maths.
A reminder that our P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday and that homework will be given out on a Friday and must be handed in the following Wednesday at the latest, this includes reading record books. Spellings and tables will also be given out on the same day. Tables will be tested on Thursdays and spellings will be on Fridays.
